Comment an additional note on catalog: Just adding a catalog doesn't keep it up to date with the indexed wikis. Wikicode checks an attribute SITE_CATALOG to find its catalog. If absent, the default name catalog is looked up.

So the wikicode handles the updating of the catalog. The catalog by itself does not update. SearchPage could be modified to use the catalog. Much faster.

To include paths (project folders) in indexing wikis, create a path index with the fixed name path. The path from root is needed, /Projects/OIPDev, not just a foldername.

Comment to get good usage of zcatalog, zope has to upgrade to 2.8

this will fix a bug that prevents searching title and text at the same time. I can reproduce the bug exactly. an index on one attrib works, index on two attribs does not work.

Two indexes work too, evidemment :)

Comment upgraded to zope 2.8.1 on windows. had a few problems

  • had interference from a python server that's running by default
  • LocalFS? wouldn't work: windows/system32/pywintypes23.dll is too old and is used instead of zope's own version.

Tried to rename it, but then zope refused to start. Pasted zope's own instead, but this caused "The object is not a PySECURITY?_ATTRIBUTES object" Then i had to remove the dll from zope.

pythoncom23.dll was moved at the same time for luck(actually a package with the two files is included).

  • tinytable and tinytableplus needed a small change in an import to work again

on my windows machine LCTtextindex? now indexes wikis with attribute text.

checking out ZCatalog. There is an example here that has these indexes:

  • bobobase_modification_time DateRangeIndex?
  • id FieldIndex?
  • parents KeywordIndex?
  • zwiki_type FieldIndex?

but i'd like to search text, which i guess requires ZCTIndex?. Checking out how to make that work. Until now i always have 0 items indexed

Comment tinkered with displaying flowscapes using JAWAA applet. Display now separates the list in attractors , which are shown next to each other on the same layout. The nodes get different colors in the central loop, and on places where chains join up. The nodes for each attractor are still placed in a circle(so JAWAA handles the arrangement), but a sorting mechanism is applied to clean up the view.

Comment added ProjectFiles localfs to this project, and added a link to the wikiheaders. How to link to an attached file? It would be nice if ProjectFiles:NewFile worked without a remote wiki. prefix system is attractive too. A bit afraid to overload it.

Maybe use FIle:NewFile

Comment checked wikialong. It's a mechanism to integrate append-type wiki in the firefox browser. It doesn't work in mozilla. The append comments are shown and added in the sidebar. It's nice, though it's not clear to me yet what is the difference with just using a different page layout(frames for example). Thinking of the general idea, how can you add functionality to your site by adding a plugin for firefox?

Comment removed all occurrences of antidecapitationkludge from the site. because this was a patch (not by me) for an old bug. That bug is gone. Our code can disregard it too.

Tried out alternative for assembled log, which i found too complicated. Truncated log just cuts off the text after a number of characters. This number can be passed in a param. This design may well handle most problems.

Try out ZwikiDevLog

Comment I think the SiteRoot object has an error, and the basepath should not end on a slash. The slash on the last line is correct. I can't change it though. Any change i try , i get an error response ...(See the full text)
