Jeff emailed me for some icons, I've got a first draft. Will scan and upload them later tonite. I've started using a theme of stick figures "doing things" to represent the icons. They're pretty cool and funny looking.
Any other ideas on a basis for the icons? Jeff gave me the list of the seven new topics for the OIP, I followed those for the new icons.

thanx for putting the link up. I'll start making the vector line-art for the icons this weekend.
Please post suggestions in this thread, i'll add to the icons as time goes on.
Jeff, did you say you would like to have new icons to replace the original OIP icons?

well ilaikum. They're cute , funny and flexible. Can you put some of that graphical roughness in the final design?
The legal icon is funny, but it's passing opinions at site level. I think it's better to keep neutrality at that level .

Cool! I was sitting, sketching, and the little people just came to me. (ooh, that sounds weird - greys/fae and all that)
I'll make the final icons in such a way to keep the "sketch" feeling - but will also make them vector art so they are resizable, etc.
legal icon - i agree. worshipping copyright is pretty funny, though. Any suggestions instead? I'mthinking a jury box, or maybe a judge stick-figure.
I'll try to have the icons done next week.
what about the original OIP icons? do those need to be re-visited? I would think yes.

copyright makes me think of weird kinds of ownership. Which suggests showing ownership. How do you show owning? Or weird ownership. Like a cloud with a copyright tag, or a copyright tag with a copyright tag. Or a line of people with a copyright tag.
Agreed on the original icons.

legal icon - Sander mentioned a cloud - how about something like a "copyright cloud" over "workers"?
Yeah, let's revisit the existing icons and see if we can work them into this new look.
